Bill Kolb began his racing career in the Mini Stock Class with the CARC in 1996 (in the original Battle Wagon). Bill won the last Mini Stock Main at Second Creek Raceway. He raced both the Wagon and Super Lite Truck at Pueblo and Cheyenne, where he won a few Trophy Dashes and earned a few Quick Time trophies. He has raced Coupes for Jerry Wize and a second stint behind the wheel for Theron Bredeson. Bill has been racing for 14 years, and says his racing influences were his uncle, John Palmer; John’s brother, Don Palmer; Margaret and Frank Young (who helped him get started in the Mini Stocks); and both Mr. Wize and Mr. Bredeson for allowing him to drive their cars. Bill races out of Brighton. Pictured above are Glenda and Theron Bredeson, Scott Bremkamp and Alisha, baby Laney and Bill Kolb.
