Steve started racing with the club in 2001 and has never raced another form of race car. His greatest accomplishment was finishing 12th in points in 2009, despite a restricted schedule which kept him off the track a few race meets. His favorite racing memory is that of being at Lakeside Speedway and watching his Dad's cars race. Steve counts Velmar as his greatest influence in his racing career. Steve chose his car number for obvious reasons! He is dedicating his 2010 season to lifetime CARC member Ronnie Lee. Kevin Tearney is his crew chief, and his crew consists of Kevin, Jazz Correnti, and Steven himself, who is also the car owner. It's a 1932 Ford Victoria body with a custom built chassis and 331 Chevrolet V-8 engine. He is a dedicated father to his son, Steven Jr., who is three years old this year. He is employed as an industrial tech. We're looking forward to seeing the St. Peter #11 back on the track with the CARC! |

____________

Steven St. Peter starting by being a fan of his father, Velmar St. Peter. Velmar (or "Pete", as he was known to Club members) owned the car #11 for over 30 years. He had some of the best drivers drive for him including Jim Malloy and Bill Starks, both of whom won championships in the black and silver car. So Steven started with the CARC early.
