Scott claims that his family has been racing "since the first car was produced", and we believe him! His Grandmother, Elwanda, raced in the Powder Puffs at Lakeside with the CARC, and his Grandfather, Warren, has been involved in the Club at several levels, including President in 2004. Scott is dedicating the 2010 season to Warren. Scott's uncle, Bruce, is a three-time CARC champion (1999, 2000, and 2002). His uncle Warren Jr. also raced with the CARC. In reading Scott's profile sheet, we find his sense of humor showing through. He says he chose his number (17) because it is "easy to make with duct tape". His sponsors include Pair-A-Dice, Rhoades Racing Products, Bass Signs, AAI Performance Products and All-Pro Machine. Scott's crew consists of Tony Nadeau (crew chief), Dave Zaner, and his sons, Anthony (age 12) and Austin (age 6). He lives in Westminster with his wife, Audrey and is a rigger by profession.

Scott Rhoades continues to carry his now-famous #17 into battle with the CARC in 2010. The "Showtime" chassis that he built himself carries a '34 Ford body and continues to show gobs of speed with the 365 cubic inch All-Pro Machine Chevrolet V-8 under the hood. Scott has been racing about fourteen years, starting in 1997. His first year with the CARC mod coupes was 2000, and he has also some experience with mini-stocks, dirt late models, and dirt modifieds.
