Cory Gordon PDF Print E-mail

Cory Gordon drives CARC mod coupe #21, a "Gordon Rocket" chassis carrying a 355 Chevrolet V-8 under the hood. The car carries a 1932 Victoria body. It's his third year racing with the CARC, but started racing quarter midgets in 1998. He also ran races with a dirt modified in 2006 at I-76 Speedway, before switching over to a dirt late model.

His greatest racing accomplishment so far is his first Main Event win, in Pueblo's I-25 Speedway in 2009. He won going away. His favorite memory was his dad (his crew chief) yelling "GO, GO, GO" in the radio that night. Cory finished 11th in points in 2009, with 2 trophy dash wins and the previously-mentioned Main Event win. Worst memory? Exiting a track too fast and running into the fence!

Cory counts his Dad, Dennis (who is listed as the car owner) as his greatest influence. Dennis did some racing of his own has wanted to help his son succeed. Cory chose #21 because his birthday is the 21st of July. Dennis likes the number due to an interest in Blackjack. Cory dedicates the 2010 season to his Dad and his grandparents, for supporting him so long. His crew consists of Dennis, Jim and Sue Gordon, Tracee Gordon and Kailee Gordon. His main sponsor is Gordon Racing.

Cory is currently a student at Colorado State University and lives in Northglenn when not in Fort Collins.

Pictures will be coming just as soon as we can actually have a day at the race track without rain and pictures can be taken!
