Chuck Palmer called to let me know that his father, Don Palmer passed away Tuesday December 8, 2009. Don was one of the racing Palmer brothers, along with his brother John, who died in 1962.
Don and John drove the ground-shakin', thunderin' Hudsons at Lakeside and Don was very smooth and clean.
Viewing will be Thursday December 17, 2009 at Horan-McConahy at 3101 South Wadsworth and gravesite services will be at Fort Logan on Friday the 18th. Details will be in the Denver Post December 11th.
I speak for the entire CARC when I say that Don was one of the best, and our deep sympathies go out to the entire Palmer family.
